Covid 19 policy for Relaxing Hands

Now that we have been given permission to work and some social distancing restrictions have been relaxed, I am now taking bookings on a 48 hour lead time and look forward to welcoming you back. I will need to operate in a very different way from the past and therefore I have produuced a Covid 19 policy statement that protects you the client and myself as the therapist. The statement will be in two parts, my actions that will support the business protect you the client and myself and your actions that reassures you, protects you an allows you to have treatment. 

1st Part My responsibilities to you. 

1. At all times disinfecting protocols will be observed before, during and after treatment this will involve wiping and cleaning any surfaces that a client will be in contact with, such as door handles, banisters, the couch and other areas of possible transmission. To allow this to happen properly an hour will be given in between appointments.
2. On entry to the building the client will be asked to use the sink by the front door and to wash his or her hands before moving to the treatment area this way reducing any possibility of transmission off surfaces.
3. Clients will be asked to remove their clothing and place in a bag provided to them to ensure risk of infection that can be transmitted by the clothing is reduced.
4. All towels and items that are used in the treatment will be wiped down with disinfectant or washed after the treatment.
5. It is always my responsibility to adhere to hygiene and cleaning protocols to reduce the risk of transmission so therefore every day I will undertake to check my temperature and look for symptoms, and if any are to arise to cancel appointments for a minimum of ten days to ensure that I am clear of the virus before starting work again.
6. During the treatment I will be wearing a mask with a filter that is changed. 

2nd part Your responsibility to the booking. 

1. Please book you’re your appointments with a 48 hour lead time minimum, this will try to ensure that all people coming are less likely to be carrying the virus although it does not completely get rid of the risk.
2. Any symptoms which you may contract within those 48 hour should lead to you cancelling the appointment at no cost to yourself and once a ten-day quarantine period for you is over you may then rebook.
3. On the day of the booking please ensure that you wash your hands regularly and upon arriving to the house that you wash your hands once entered in the hand basin downstairs.
4. Within the massage room please place your clothing in the bag provided and try to keep your area of contact to a minimum as possible.
5. Once the treatment is over please leaving the towel folded upon the couch, get dressed, leaving the bag used for you clothing on top of the towel upon the couch.
6. After organizing your next appointment please feel free to use the hand basin to wash your hands before leaving.
7. Lastly if you were to contract the virus within 48 hours of receiving treatment then it is your responsibsility to inform me so that I can go into a period of isolation or arrange a test.   

Disclaimer 
I the client will not hold the company Relaxing Hands or the therapist Mr Timothy Smith responsible if I contract Covid 19 after visiting Relaxing Hands for treatment. I undertake to take the treatment offered by Relaxing Hands at my own risk of contracting the virus and that I will promise to inform Tim Smith at the earliest opportunity if I have symptoms or test positive for the virus to allow a quarantine period to take place.
